Customer Case Study: Kent
County Council - "Vision for Kent"
After producing the first "Vision", Kent
County Council (KCC) wanted to extend it to include the other public
bodies in the County. Kate Fairweather of CMCAust Marketing worked with
Kent Fire, Health, Police Authorities, the Learning and Skills Council,
Kent Rural Communities and Federation of Small Businesses to produce a
single document that contained the key objectives of each organisation.
CMCAust Marketing drafted the document to be a simple expression of the
"Vision for Kent".
Customer Case Study:
Business Link Kent - Marketing Strategy and Campaign Management
When Business Link Kent was preparing to
launch they asked CMCAust Marketing to produce the marketing strategy
for the new business support organisation. We built the contact strategy
based on telephone account management, a regular business newsletter
(which we named "Business Works") and regular PR. We then went on to
develop and deliver the marketing campaign and channels to market,
developing the call guide with the telemarketing team and liaising with
agency Springboard Marketing to develop promotional materials and the
newsletter. At the end of Business Link Kent's first vital year of
operation they had met all their targets and set for future success.
Customer Case Study:
Sandwich Town Action and Rural Revival (STARR) Initiative - Health
Check and Funding Application
Sandwich in East Kent is a small market
town. The town were advised that it could qualify for Kent Rural Towns
funding (managed by Kent County Council for South East England
Development Agency). To gain this funding the partnership of local
authorities and local business and community organisations asked Kate
Fairweather of CMCAust Marketing to help them complete a Market Town
Health Check - a rigorous review of the economic, social, environmental
and transport health of the area - and develop an Action Plan to deliver
on priority issues. We used desk research to find out the key facts and
figures, and completed business, household and youth research to develop
a Strengths/Weaknesses/Opportunities/Threats analysis. We then worked
with the partnership to hold consultations with all parts of the
community on what they wanted to be fixed and produced the final Action
Plan. Flowing from this came the opportunity to bid for £250,000 in
funding to develop a rundown community centre to become the Phoenix
Centre - a community and youth club for the whole town. We assisted the
partnership to build the successful bid which then generated match
funding to become a £1 million project. Both the Action Plan and Phoenix
Project won awards from the Rural Towns scheme.
Customer Case Study:
Skillnet - Upskilling Older Workers Project
CMCAust Marketing was a partner in Skillnet.
We bid successfully for funding from Learning & Skills Council Kent and
Medway to run a £300,000 project to deliver qualifications to older
workers - a particularly hard to reach group. Working with a partner
organisation, East Kent Itec, we ran marketing campaigns using
advertising, contacting past customers and local recruitment days to
recruit 497 over 45's to the programme, and achieving 360 nationally
recognised qualifications up to Level 3 (A Level equivalent) - a 72%
achievement rate. The project exceeded targets for recruitment of
disadvantaged groups. We set the customer management procedures in place
to ensure all customers were satisfied with the service they received
and were encouraged to progress to a further training course once they
completed.
